Illuminites Night Markets (3)
1) Not sure what they were called but they were like a curried crepe, if that makes sense. 2) Satay chicken and curried crepe, both delicious. 3) and 4) Japanese savoury pastries, never seen these before, they cooked them in what looked like mini muffin trays. 5) Hungry people. 6) and 7) Polish donut man and his caravan (mentioned in this post) and his super speedy jam-filling technique! Good food memories... making me very hungry.

Lunch earlier in the week at what I always thought was just called the King Street Cafe, but when you google, is apparently called 44 King Street. It was pretty pricey and my friends were brought the wrong meals, but the staff were nice which is always a plus and quite rare in Perth. Think it might be a bit over-rated. It was ok, but nothing special. Doesn't seem to have its own website, and the reviews on Urbanspoon are not glowing. Its a great location though, I like the look of it and it was really nice of the waiter to open the doors for us for some fresh air even though it meant moving the tables and chairs etc and causing a minor disruption. Something like that shouldn't warrant special comment I suppose, but in Perth its kinda hard to find places where the staff don't scowl at you for interrupting their otherwise packed schedule of texting their friends and checking their hair.

I had a super fun weekend, comprising
-catching up with people
-eating the lunches shown in the photos (the Garden in Leederville, and Botanicals in Kings Park)
-teaching people how to use their cameras
-taking heaps of photos
-watching football
-looking in nice shop windows, and,
-attending to the significant administrative task of sorting out my hard drive which, while sounding immensely boring, was quite satisfying and now means my computer can actually, you know, work properly.
There has been some trouble with blogger, not just for me. A few people have said there was trouble with the comments, and I notice it has eaten a comment I made in reply to someone the other day. Its not me, its them.
Happy Monday!
H.
